Beyond New
Horizons…..
…..taking
what we do best and doing it better!
St.
Ann’s continues to expand and enhance the action plan developed, implemented
and evaluated in New Horizons 2000. We
believe that everything achieved in our first plan needs to be sustained.
Vigilant monitoring, coaching and positive reinforcement are the means we
will use to monitor the plan. Our
recent self-study helped us to recognize major areas for our improvement plan.
These areas focus on student discipleship, writing across the curriculum,
problem-solving skills, authentic assessment and technology integration.
As in our previous action plan, we utilize four pillars to support an
overlapping approach to school improvement.
All stakeholders: our
administrators, faculty, staff, students and parents, have a role and
responsibility to work toward school improvement.
The goals for The
Odyssey of a Vision are:
-
Students will demonstrate increased discipleship and service to school,
parish, civic and global communities.
-
Students will participate in writing projects across the curriculum.
-
Students will demonstrate and improve problem-solving skills at the
concrete, abstract and real-life levels.
-
Students will utilize MS4 data and other appropriate assessment
strategies to evaluate personal progress.
-
Students will utilize and integrate technology across the curriculum.
Pillars
of Support and Implementation:
-
Students as Disciples and Learners
-
Staff Development (through the Teaching Academy)
-
Curriculum Progress
